How to Apply
Mix or shake the dye thoroughly before use. Always test it on an offcut or inconspicuous area of the leather, as the final colour can vary depending on the leather type, absorbency and original colour.
Make sure the leather is clean and free from dust, grease, wax, oil and other surface residue. Wearing protective gloves is recommended.
Using a moist or dry lint-free cloth, sponge or soft brush, work the dye quickly across the leather in a circular motion. Apply it in small sections to help maintain an even colour. Avoid oversaturating the leather, as excessive dye may produce an uneven finish or increase the drying time.
Allow the first coat to dry completely. If additional depth or coverage is required, apply another thin coat. Several thin coats generally produce a cleaner and more uniform result than one heavy coat. Continue until the desired colour is achieved.
Sealing the Leather
Once the dye is completely dry, apply a suitable leather sealer or top finish. Sealing helps lock in the colour, reduce colour transfer and protect the finished leather from regular handling and use.
