Mac-Lace Leather is a well known business that has been supplying Leather and Leathercraft products to craft enthusiasts, saddlery shops, manufacturers, schools and institutions, hospitals, men’s sheds, retail shops and many other organizations for over 70 years.
The business was started by a saddler (Bill MacLellan) who was affectionately known as Mac. Mac started cutting leather boot laces from leather hides using a razor blade attached to a jam tin. So the Mac-Lace name come from …

Michael & Katrina Harbison bought the business from the original family in 2006. Michael used to buy from Mac-Lace while he was at boarding school in Brisbane and has always had an interest in Leathercraft. Since taking over the business it has grown and developed in line with the general increase in interest in Leathercraft.
Today the business is run by Michael & Katrina with a few staff and help from the kids from time to time.
Mac-Lace is Australian owned and operated.
